Yala Peak climbing offers a rewarding mountaineering experience in the Langtang region, located north of Kathmandu, and is paired with the stunning Langtang Valley trek. The climb provides spectacular views of several Himalayan peaks, including the Manaslu range, Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Naya Kang, Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, and Gangchempo (6,388m). Yala Peak is situated close to the Tibetan border, accessible via a ridge of towering mountains.
The route passes through the picturesque Langtang National Park, abundant in natural beauty with lush rhododendron forests and the possibility of encountering rare wildlife like snow leopards and red pandas. The views of Langtang Valley are often hailed as some of the most breathtaking. Before starting the climb, trekkers typically visit Kyanjin Monastery (3,900m) to help acclimatize. The surrounding landscape offers ample opportunities to adjust to the altitude, and the base camp at Yala Kharka (4,600m) is located in a peaceful meadow. Experienced guides will provide climbers with detailed information on the technical aspects of the climb and the necessary climbing gear.
